9/11 Meal Pack Day San Francisco

, ,

Over 1,000 volunteers from the Bay Area gathered at Pier 35 on the Embarcadero on September 11th, 2018 to pack and distribute meals to individuals facing food insecurity in observance and remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The San Francisco Meal Pack For 9/11 Day is a day of service meant to honor the families, victims, and first responders of 9/11, and is meant to change a day of tragedy into a day of doing good. Through the course of the day, volunteers managed to assemble 300,000 meals to be distributed amongst people in the community who are currently facing food insecurity.

Brown Pelican WiFi is proud to have been a sponsor by providing free and secure wifi access to all volunteers, organizers and staff for this event using the permanently installed network at Pier 35.
