The 2017 AfroTech conference was held November 10-11th in San Francisco at Pier 27 on the Embarcadero. The two-day event held fifteen workshops, thirty speakers, a pitch competition, and over 1,200 participants. Attendees included founders and employees of fast-growing tech startups who presented their strategies for successes and what tactics they use to grow their products and businesses.
Brown Pelican WiFi provided Event WiFi for the entire conference through their permanently installed network on location at Pier 27. Attendees, staff, and speakers had access to a secure and managed WiFi network allowing for streaming video, social sharing, and web surfing. The Permanent WiFi Network can be customized for each event to turn up or down the amount of bandwidth needed for the event needs.
