Splunk’s .conf18 was a four-day conference held at Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida. This year, this conference hit max capacity with record-breaking growth with nearly 10,000 attendees, making it their largest user conference ever. The event was filled with more than 300 technical sessions and over 200 customer presentations. Conference-goers were able to engage in different activities ranging from learning opportunities including Splunk University and various breakout sessions, as well as keynotes and supersessions. Guests also had access to activities incorporating the Splunk App Showcase, hands-on labs, theater, Splunk Data Playground, and the customer success studio. For those unable to make it to the event in person, keynotes during day one and two were live-streamed.
Brown Pelican WiFi worked with ESPN Arena and Swan and Dolphin Resort IT management teams to manage the wifi network for production staff and attendees for this event. The network was monitored at all times, and no downtime was experienced during this heavily attended and highly technical event.
