The Wikimedia Developer Summit is the the annual meeting to push the evolution of MediaWiki and other technologies supporting the Wikimedia movement. This unique meeting was held at the Golden Gate Club in San Francisco and consisted of two days of pre-scheduled and unconference sessions and a totally unscheduled third day to “Get Stuff Done”. “Get Stuff Done Day” is an entirely unscheduled day for the members of the community to meet with each other, discuss any topics relevant to their interests, and hack and collaborate on projects together. Unlike other conferences, this day gives attendees all the opportunity to make progress on topics discussed during the day one and two of the developer summit.
Brown Pelican WiFi was chosen to provide a secure WiFi network for this three day event. A fully managed WiFi network was customized for the heavy WiFi usage, and provided bandwidth for presentations, attendee connections and project collaboration.
