The annual South by Southwest Conference and Festival provided attendees with various outlets to explore a range of topics, including music and film, culture, art, and technology. The event gave attendees opportunities to engage in workshops, interactive mentor sessions, live audience recordings of podcasts, pitch events, book readings and signings, meetups, a music festival, a film festival, and keynotes from industry leaders.
Brown Pelican WiFi partnered with Google to set up and manage a custom temporary wifi network at the 2019 SXSW event for the Google For Education installation. This education-focused display was set up specifically for teachers and education professionals to learn more about Google For Education through live demonstrations as well as the ability to take the system for a test-drive themselves. The wifi network provided a dedicated connection throughout the event and supported live demonstrations with zero downtime.
